I realize for most, if not all of you, this quiz will mean absolutely nothing. Let me explain, Steve Gerber is probably one of my 3 favorite comic writers. On his website they have a quiz where you answer a few questions and it tells you which of Gerber's comic creations you most resemble. As most of you are probably not familiar with his comic creations the outcome will not mean much to you. I on the other hand, know all his comic creations very well and would love to see who each of you get compared to. It is a quick test and quite funny. Try to answer seriously(or as seriously as possible given the questions and answers)so I can see who Steve Gerber compares each of you to. Mine was so accurate and I have posted my results below.
Thanx for taking the TIMe.

http://www.stevegerber.com/pquiz/index.php3

You are most like
HOWARD THE DUCK.

You view life as a cavalcade of disappointing choices. You really don't care if the glass is half-empty or half-full—chances are, somebody else has already had their mouth on it. Fortunately for your sanity, you revel in your neuroses. You take fierce pride in your ability to see the world from a perspective that, for most, would provide a credible motive for suicide.

You are highly verbal and brimming with opinions. You state them forcefully and with conviction, even when nobody asks. Your most profound frustration is that you can rarely persuade others to your point of view. You would find everyday human interaction much less irritating if you came to understand that most people aren't looking for a good reason to kill themselves.

There were only 6 issues of Nevada, here are the cover for the first 4 issues:

For larger, clear versions of the pics and for descriptions of each issue, check out this link and click on the smaller images. The covers were done by Phil Winslade who some of you comic folks might be familiar with. He also did the covers for the most recent MarvelMax Howard the Duck 6 issue miniseries written by Steve Gerber:

Howard the Duck, Destroyer Duck, Man-Thing and Sludge all seem like folks who would really be into a..........

Maybe even Nevada, even though a Flaming Moe doesn't really seem like a girls drink. Then again, Nevada is pretty tough. She might dig one as well.

Nevada is a Kewl character and comic. I highly advise checking it out if you are a fan of comics. It is another of Steve Gerber's creations. He is my fave comic book writer. He and Sam Kieth. Here is a description of Nevada from Steve himself.

Westfield: What can you tell us about Nevada?

Steve Gerber: It's the story of a Las Vegas show girl named Nevada, her ostrich named Bolero - every showgirl has one, a mobster whose head is screwed on strangely; a drunken mystic; and a takeover of the Nile Hotel, where Nevada works. By "takeover," I do not mean corporate. It's coming from someplace else altogether. The book also has something to say about the nature of good and evil in the universe and the current state of human relations.

If you are intrigued by what you have read so far you can check out the full interview with Steve Gerber about Nevada and his other creations at:

I keep meaning to answer the questions posed to me above. I want to and I will when I have TIMe, but it is a long and involved story so I will have to put it off. I will get to it. Just got to remember to do it when I have TIMe. Fear not, you will have your answers.

Can you name the truck with four wheel drive,
smells like a steak and seats thirty-five..

Canyonero! Canyonero!

Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down,
It's the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown!

Canyonero! (Yah!) Canyonero!
[Krusty:] Hey Hey

The Federal Highway comission has ruled the
Canyonero unsafe for highway or city driving.

Canyonero!

12 yards long, 2 lanes wide,
65 tons of American Pride!

Canyonero! Canyonero!

Top of the line in utility sports,
Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!

Canyonero! Canyonero! (Yah!)

She blinds everybody with her super high beams,
She's a squirrel crushing, deer smacking, driving machine!

Drive Canyonero!

Woah Canyonero!

Burns: Some men hunt for sport,
Others hunt for food,
The only thing I'm hunting for,
Is an outfit that looks good...

See my vest, see my vest,
Made from real gorilla chest,
Feel this sweater, there's no better,
Than authentic Irish setter.

See this hat, 'twas my cat,
My evening wear - vampire bat,
These white slippers are albino

Grizzly bear underwear,
Turtles' necks, I've got my share,
Beret of poodle, on my noodle
It shall rest,

Try my red robin suit,
It comes one breast or two,
See my vest, see my vest,
See my vest.

But a greyhound fur tuxedo
Would be best,

Oh and pcbdmb, we've never actually met or anything, but that really doesn't seem to fit you at all! But that description really is funny as hell. That sounds like a quite a few people that I do know.

dirtysloth Posted - 07/05/2002 : 09:24:02 AM
I am also Howard the Duck. I would agree with that description completely, except "You are highly verbal and brimming with opinions." I am very opinionated, and make that known on the board sometimes, but in everyday life I'm actually a pretty quiet guy.

Damnit!!!! Looka t this!

You are most like
MAN-THING.

You are a shambling, mindless mockery of humanity, doomed to wander the swamp of existence with no direction, no intent, no thoughts or opinions of your own. Yet you are cursed with an empathic nature. You are drawn to powerful emotions like a kamikaze moth to a Bic lighter. You feel what others feel—the joy, the pain, the trapped gas.

And whatever knows fear, burns in your hot little hands!

Anyway, it's kewl that all of you ended up as Destroyer Ducks, he is an awesomely, wicked character. You guys must all resort to violence alot, HEHE.

Depends on which me you are talking to, but I'm considerably peaceful also. I get pissed off and turn in to Destroyer, tho, when people don't use their blinker. Stuff like that. I almost ran over someone day before yesterday just on principle, and he was standing in the road all like "come back here so I can kick your ass" and I just drove on...I stopped in the road just to show him that I saw him looking and for him to know that he could go fuck himself...I guess he got the idea.

Just a sample of by DD ability. I would have gladly destroyed him.

Driving is the most palpable sign that most people have no idea what's going on around them.

You are most like
DESTROYER DUCK.

You are fearless, bold, and you prefer action over words. You are passionate about matters of truth and justice. You always stick up for the Little Guy. However, your heroic nature is not readily apparent to others, because you have difficulty managing your anger. The phrase "measured response" is not part of your vocabulary.

Your relationships at home and in the workplace would benefit from the knowledge that not every problem can be solved with small arms fire.

LOL! Maybe I should take the quiz again tomorrow!
