Broken Arrow? I'm watching it now, and it's pretty cool. What do you guys think?

John Travolta is such a bad ass, look at how he smokes his cig.

For girls it is different. Younger girls it's a love story. Surprise surprise they like it. By the older folks it is considered a classic for some reason. Mothers turn their daughters onto it out of nostalgia.(Plus the songs are really catchy HEHE)

I'm surprised he's Down To Earth. He seems like he'd make an excellent asshole.

When they filmed Swordfish Travolta came to my neck of the woods for a scene. When the guy was fly fishing and the helicopter comes down and John gets out and kills him. Anyways He was in town and I used to work at a fancy restuarant at a hotel and he came in and I served him a glass of water. I introduced myself and got a picture with him. He is a really down to earth guy.

I completely agree! How can you get nostalgic about something that happened last week? You could miss it, I guess.......but then you simply shovel the pile of crap into the VCR and press play.

I would agree with you, but the girls that listen to that mound of shit excuse for music are not old enough to remember Grease in that manner.

Can someone tell me why Grease is popular? I think it sucks. I still like blow. But this doesn't both suck and blow.

pcbTIM Posted - 06/21/2002 : 10:52:44 PM
Oh GOD!!!!!!! For some reason all the girls were obsessed with that movie! They would always play those terrible songs back in high school! Man that drove me crazy!

I'm sure whatever he was thinking had something to do with the fact that the head Scientology guy was the producer or something like that...

well as far as 'b' grade movies go, broken arrow is an a-. it has all the makins' of a classic 'b' grade film...i.e. predictable plot, cliche dialoge, formula storyline-good guy fights bad guy something happens to good guy so that bad guy gets the upperhand until the end of the flick when the good guy prevails, and a little assy thrown in to get another 500 ticket sales.

On a slightly different subject, has any one ever seen that Corn Pops comircial? Were the little cartoon guy starts dancing, then he turns into two guys, then four, and so on. For some reason I find that comercial funny as hell.

But anyway, any one seen Blow? Good movie.

Oh man, I used to LOVE Broken Arrow. I saw it when I was like 8, and watched it again twice the same weekend.
Then I didn't see it a really long time, and just this year I saw that it was on tv, got really excited and started watching. Well now, I really can't imagine what I was thinking back then, I got bored after about 10mins of watching it.
Maybe my expectations were just too high.

I thought Broken Arrow was a good movie...

Except for the lame soundtrack.

And the "style" of cigarette smoking

And Christian Slater (what a cock)

Seen all of the above... good flicks (with the obvious exception of Battlefield Earth).

I haven't seen that, nope. I don't dislike him in all his movies. Just most of them.
