I'm pretty excited since I've never seen him live before although I'm a big fan of his Live album. I'm not sure whether is is solo or with his band but I'll find out in a few hours!

I chose to delete the review, and instead, honor Chris by reposting some pictures from that night...

Why is this up here at the top of the topics? It's two years today that we lost Chris and this is just a little weird, and sad to have to see the review of a bad show....Anyway please remember him in the musical sense, for the real poet and gifted musician that he was. His friends and family, we miss him very much.Peace, Robin

Anyone interested in Chris Whitley should love Kelly Joe Phelps. If you haven't checked him oot yet, i would HIGHLY recommend him to any acoustic blues fans. The video i posted a while ago isn't working anymore, so download some stuff on audiogalaxy, he's a hosted artist. My favs. are Black Crow Keeps Flying, Gold Tooth, Don Quixote's Windmill, and Piece by Piece. Also check oot Hard Time Killing Floor BLues, See that My grave is kept clean, and Capman Bootman. HOsanna and Katie are good tunes, too. THere are way to many to mention here, and every one of his albums are slightly different than the next, so download away! You'll love him!

My last name is confusing...It is Spelled Wiegand but is pronounced Weegend...another insult to the English language...

Audiogalaxy is best... especially for dialup since you can lose your connection fairly easily.

Will do, Silky. I have to get audiogalaxy or whatever someone tells me to get first, tho, cause I don't have morpheus anymore.

Jason you would probably like CW... all that I've heard of his has been quite solid. If you want to download like one or two songs, I happen to really like 'Radar.' It'll give you a feel for things before you decide to fork out money on someone's CD whom you know nothing about.

Are you going to see CW at the Galaxy? It's a pretty cool venue. I thought it would have been cool if Chris was here when Fluffy came through, but he was just a bit too early. :-(

Did I mention that I finished a marathon?

I'm going to have to just make a list of who all you guys like. I haven't heard CW yet. And I've heard you all talk about him for so long....

I just don't have the patience to download stuff...maybe I will get to that soon...
