So, i was watching TV, and i saw what may be the funniest thing 've EVER seen!!
Even funnier than the time i was aimlessly flipping through channels and i saw a group of nuns singing WHIPEOOT!
It was a Japanese fish auction!! YOu know that incredibly fast Japanese talk??? Imagine that ten times faster, and a whole bunch of people yelling in Japanese to secure their fish!!!!

That joke creeps me out! I always wear my PPE (personal protective equipment) at work with all the blood I'm exposed to. Seriously, blood is the transport mechanism for many diseases. I'm very careful about following the universal precautions policy. I'll have to get someone to take a pic of me sometime when I'm all dressed up in operating room garb and send it to you. The face shield freaks people out!

Fluffy, my Emily is a Weird Al Freak! She has most of his CD's and the Weird Al Yankovic Video Library. It's the video of his greatest hits. The next TIMe she watches it I'll check out the credits.

To my understanding, he comes up with the concepts and someone else directs it. I guess he writes the script or storyboards for it and has someone else direct it. So I guess the ideas are his for the parody but I don't think he actually directs. I have always wanted to get a video or DVD with all the Weird Al vids on it. If I do I will make sure to let you know who is credited as director.

I have to agree, the songs are funny, but the videos are amazing. The detail of the parody never ceases to amaze me. Same kind of attention to detail on the Simpsons as they parody american suburban life. Truly outstanding insights!!

fat is good, but the video for it is much better. "yo yo man, ding dong yo, ding dong" and he eats all those do'h-nuts, and his fat suit gets all huge, cracks me up!!

Personally i liked the polka remixes of popular songs. Those were pretty funny. he def. is a master at what he does though!

I think Weird Al is a genius when it comes to parody. Right up there with Spinal Tap. I know we talked about UHF a while back as well. He is DAMN FUNNY!! Plus you have the added bonus of Rick Derringer on guitar. He smokes!! I am always amazed how well they recreate the exact sound of what they are parodying. That really isn't very EZ. I also really liked his album cover parody of Nirvana, NEVERMIND!!HEHE

I was not able to watch the link you provided, do you know if it is the video for the song they used to play on MTV? The video was these 2 guys in crazy masks at a birthday party. Around the birthday table were all these dead fishes with party hats and noisemakers. It was the craziest video. I always loved it. I rushed right out and bought their album. Those guys are so twisted. Speaking of Twisted, I got the Stephen Lynch album that we talked about many moons ago. Now that is TWISTED!!

Well, this topic IS about food.
Someone just started perking some coffee in a room below me and MAN does it smell like a dream. I feel like I'm in Seattle or Guatemala, it's just perfect. Just enough of a smell that I can smell it when I'm not thinking about it (unlike now) but when I try to strain and smell the wonderful java, I can't.
I'm going to have to say that this is some kind of special blend, too, not that average Folger's (which CAN be good, too). I'm going to say it's something exotic. Maybe a fresh fine ground imported bean....MMMMMmmmm..
