Anyone ever heard that fusion group consisting of Scott Henderson/Victor Wooten/Steve Smith, vital tech tones?
It's a great kind of electric guitar jazz group, it's(in my opinion) some of Wooten's best work, with playing off of other musician's. Volume 1 of their's has a bunch of originals, plus a coltrane standard "giant steps." It's just a great cd to hear!

I really dont know. Your probably right, it's a cool remake of a song. (possibly the one you talk about) Mabye VictorWootenFan can tell you more.

Yeah, and when you watch the DVD with 5.1 surround sound. Totally new experince. When we were watching Crash my friend said, "whoa! did you hear that openeing bass line for crash!?" He got all excited over it. Beats the hell out of me why.

Once you get used to DVD, VHS looks and sounds aweful! You can pick up a DVD player so cheaply now too... it's totally worth it if you get a few spare $$.

I think I would buy the cd over Vhs. Once you see something on DVD (such as DMB-LS) you dont wanna go back to Vhs. Belive me.

Steve Bailey rules. He was with Vic and his bros that one time I just happened to stumble upon a show in Charleston, SC. What a great show.

Peace,

Sure thing VWF. I'll be sure to check them out soon enough.

victorwootenfan Posted - 04/12/2002 : 9:00:28 PM
yeah steve bailey is also very good, amazing even! 6 string fretless bass player. He does all the bass extremes projects with victor. Vital tech tones is very very good though for anyone who likes fusion/jazz. worth a listen, i'm tellin' ya!

I've heard a remake of the song "chick from Korea" from Victor Wooten and, i'm pretty sure, Steve Smith, from "Bass Extremes" It sounds awesome.
