Hey everyone!! Just dropping in to say hi and let you all know what's been going on in the world of Dave. Me, not the other Dave.

Had my 1st wedding anniversary on the 18th of March. I'm getting a new job within the company that I work for - more responsibility and shit, so that's cool. I guess they have faith in my ... silly them.

Got tix to see DMB in VA Beach on July 13th (fluffy, check ya damn email bizitchimous). What a hoot that was getting tickets .. fuckers sold out on me so I had to pay 89.95 a piece for 'em. Crazy? Yeah, perhaps. But, it's tradition with my sisters, wife, cousin and brother-in-law that we go every year. No matter what it takes, we go. It's a life experience, not just a concert. It's that one time of year where we're all together in the same place, enjoying ourselves and partying our asses off.

Anywho ...

Littly Mollie is now 3 months old and up to 26lbs (she's a dog in case you forgot, no kids here). She's bad as hell and gets into all kinds of shit, just like a puppy should.

The wife is good, family is well, house is getting better as time permits. So, feel free to drop me an email or catch me on IM to say hello - I miss you knuckleheads.

free.tibet@verizon.net
IM: D3monSpawn

Fluffy ... check ya damn email and get in touch with me.

Peace!

Appreaciate that. Thats great.

My_Bad_Side Posted - 04/12/2002 : 10:17:14 PM
I'll explain it to you simply.

DAO discs are seamless between tracks. No pause, so it's just like you were there listening to it live.

TAO have various pauses between the tracks on the cd. Officially, TAO is two seconds. So you get a two second pause between the tracks, which usually means people are screaming and yelling and carrying on and whatnot, then every sound drops out for two seconds and then picks up again with the next track. It's extremely annoying.

However, I consider TAO to be anything that isn't perfectly seamless. So it could just be a click, and I would say it's TAO. That's the case with the one you're asking about.

{=HTG=} Posted - 04/12/2002 : 8:15:31 PM
Get ready for this stupid question:
DAO? TAO?
As you can see, i'm not a trader. But downloading individual songs off the net is worthless at times becuase I relize the shitty quality afterwards.

My_Bad_Side Posted - 04/12/2002 : 7:51:23 PM
Sure I have it. But I will say that its not DAO. That's very important to me. I don't trade TAO stuff. Except for special request, obviously.

But if you think that is good, you should just let me pick some shows to send you. The one I'm listening to right now is as good as Luther (quality wise, of course, the music is just per personal tastes) [to me it may even be better than Luther].

If you let me pick the shows for you, I could make you an extraordinarily happy boy.

{=HTG=} Posted - 04/12/2002 : 7:39:13 PM
My Bad Side, do you have a copy of that same show (2.5.99) to trade??? I've been desprately trying to download all the songs off the show and make them into a CD (right now I have 6), but my phone connection is to slow and I'm not able to find the Tim solos and the last few songs. If you do, please say so, and email me at
pmt86@yahoo.com
That goes for anyone else too. The song quality is AWESOME, better than any other D&T show i've ever heard.

My_Bad_Side Posted - 04/12/2002 : 7:38:28 PM
I still wish you could hear the part in Satellite.

Man, I think that's just about what TIM did every time they played DDTW. But it is cool, you're right.

What I meant for that was how everything slows down, becomming quiet while Tim is doing the effect, then Dave picks up with the outro. The outro makes that version of DDTW the best i've ever heard. It's like the Dixie Chicken outro for Crash. It just feels like a much better song with it.

Glad were sort of on the same page with Musical Bliss MBS.

Another one off that same show for Typical Situation. Starting at 4:18 and ending at 5:08. Tim starts ripping it up nicely.

Yeah, that's a good one. Practically Musically Blissful, if I do say so myself.

But not Musical Bliss. For me, of course. Glad it is for you.

I'm going to check out Typical Situation now.

Apparently we aren't communicating on Musical Bliss. I'll check out what you're suggesting and see what I think, but I believe Musical Bliss might be a little more in depth for me than what you're describing.

I'll check.

On the D&T show (2.5.99) during "Dont drink the water" About 4:30 Tim starts using his effects, Dave stops playing, just Tim, then around 5:30 Dave sings the "This land is our land" outro, then finishing the song.

Didn't think this was worthy of a new topic.

I have heard musical bliss. I can tell you where to find it. It is on a show by T&D. The show was 1993.12.12. Track number nine. Satellite. Time on the track: 4:10 until 4:30 (background mainly) and then more in the foreground, the most perfect sounds from a guitar are 4:30 until 4:40. I know that's a small segment for musical nirvana, but that's it. I simply love what Tim's doing right then. It's not that it's that hard, it's just fitting. Perfect.

For the record, this isn't what Tim does on Satellite nowdays. In fact, this is really played almost alltogether differently (throughout the song) than Tim plays it now. I haven't heard him do this in any other version that I have.

Everyone needs to hear that.

Somebody BEAT you to it.
