Posted - 04/14/2002 : 08:11:44 AM NOPE, I think she was saying I SMELL BAD!!! I think I smell as good as anyone else. I can't believe she brought my ability to smell into question. I know I can smell Cheese and macaroni at 50 paces! I would say I can smell pretty good!!

Posted - 04/07/2002 : 10:11:28 PM I was up in the balcony with my four or five friends. Most of them had never heard of Tim or seen him in concert. They were mesmerised. I don't know what the twits on the floor were thinking -- probably waiting for the waitress to come back with their beer.
It was a great show (but not as good as McCabe's) which all my friends loved! When we started smelling something funny though, the night took a turn for the worse... (poor poor Fluffy. poor poor hair.)

Posted - 04/07/2002 : 8:38:12 PM I checked out the continued communication and I do recall(if he is talking about the LA Knitting Factory gig)that the crowd was very subdued. Although we did not think of it in a bad way. They were quite a respectful audience. Keep in mind that The KF was set up like a dinner theater which may have contributed to the atmosphere. I don't know if pretentious is the word I would have chosen. A couple of people from the BOARD were at that show. Maybe you should ask them their take on it. Mine and T'n'T's could be a little skewed. We tend to like any show where people sit quietly and don't shout things. I think it was more of a respectful room than a pretentious one. Although LA can be quite pretentious at times. I don't think about that nite to much as it was the nite of "THE FIRE" and my laptop crashed for good. Show was great, nite was very bad!

He quickly started defending himself which is a great sign that you have hit on some very valid points for him. He seems to have realized he may have spoken without thinking. Thanx for pulling his head out of his ass for him. He could certainly use the help. Major PROPS to Silky!!!

Posted - 04/05/2002 : 12:58:24 AM Tim better think twice about doing the acoustic tour with Dave again, nancies might show up booing his solo songs and crying out for Space Between.

Posted - 04/04/2002 : 9:23:32 PM damn, even though i got into dave's music before tim, i still think these people are total cocks!!! sadly i thought when i first listened to dmb(live at red rocks, all along the watchtower) i thought tim was in the band, and that was why i liked them so much. Luckliy it didn't last long that i found out he was the guest. but shit, people need to think more about what comes out there goddamned mouths...fuckin' nancies fuckers....

Posted - 04/04/2002 : 8:27:40 PM That was flawless! I wish I could type like that......maybe someone should post that on nancies.org..........oh and by the way GuitarGuy305, how did you knoe TR's real name was Cletus?

Posted - 04/04/2002 : 6:46:51 PM Shit, when did DMB fans become so close minded? Saying Tim has no feeling, tim's music is 100% feeling, dammit.
The line about tim's solo stuff sucking, and D&T working "somehow" made me laugh my ass off.
Also, the Tim/Timmy debate was classic. Those people are such asses, save for the people from this board that post there.
People from DMBML have complained about nancies' boards before too. I think ever since nancies won that My VH1 Award, more and more fans are going there, some of them bigger fans than others, but they all think they know more than the next guy....including whether Tim likes to be called Timmy or Tim or Timothy, Bobby, Butch, Roger, Hagarty, George, Jon, Jimbo, Timbo, or Cletus. And once again, they all ASSUME that Tim likes to be called Timmy...why??? Because my best friend in the whole world Dave Matthews calls him that, so then Tim must love it, and let's all do it.
I got a kick out of the guy that said it seemed to backgroundish to be "Our Tim" and that he preferred the acoustic stuff....all the while tim's been doing BOTH acoustic and electric for years, and was in TR3 BEFORE DMB was even a flash in the pan.
That guy's Tim is the Tim that is in Dave's shadow the whole night at a D&T show, and we all know Tim is much more than that. OUR Tim is the Tim that guy SHOULD know, but he's used to trite lyrics and simple guitar work, and he can't wrap his simple mind around Tim's ability as a player and songwriter. And when it comes down to it, no lyrics are better than trite lyrics.
I get so sick of these people that see Tim as just a soloist "backing up" Dave Matthews. One more reason why I hope we never see those two playing together again. Not that I don't enjoy the duo, but it's for the better as far as Tim's solo career goes. I mean, god damn it, hes a fucking GUEST musician, he's NOT a part of the act, hes not a part of DMB, and its Dave Matthews and special guest Tim Reynolds, why do people go do Tim shows, expecting to hear Ants and Crash...shit, shit shit....
well, anyway, I've done this rant before.... :)

There are a handful, if any, other guitar players that could even dream about matching TR note for note. Your comments lead me to believe that you may have actually figured out how to fold yourself in half and stick your head completely up your ass.
Steps to listening to music: 1) Remove head from sphincter. 2) Listen.

Posted - 03/28/2002 : 4:41:35 PM Thanks for the cool pic Liz! I would set as my backround per your suggestion, but right now I have that "Don't Masterbate-kitten" thing set......but once I get tired of that one....you're pic will be next. Speaking of that kitten one, that picture hit my campus like a ton of bricks. I went into the engineering computer lab today to do AutoCad, and every computer had that pic as it's backround. And some even had other ones sporting the monsters. I saw one where the monster was on the cover of TIME magazine, and another where the monster was playing soccer. I found it really funny because I didn't know that anyone else knew aboot it.

I was impressed with his technical prowess on the intruments and the interesting sounds he could achieve. I felt like the songwriting was kind of weak though. That is, the songs didn't go anywhere- I felt there was no pace, no development, no feeling. It was pretty sterile. Anyone have any thoughts???
For some reason, when Dave and Tim play though, it really works. hmmm.....
Deaf people should not be allowed to comment on music. What the hell show did he walk into? It definitely wasn't a TR show. Someone must have told him it was a TR show when it was actually an acoustic Kid(NO)Rock or EMINEM show. GEEZ, some people. Unfortunately, everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, even if it is dead wrong! HEHE
