Posted - 02/03/2002 : 12:34:40 AM I know we all talk about guitars and other crazzzzzy shit! Now here is some more.
PHISH!
Who listens to this great american rock band of mid thirity year olds drinking and smoking out for an audience of 70,000!? This is truly, in my opinion the best "Jam" Band as it were. Also they are doing an awesome thing for their fans, and their wallets. Every six months they release six new live shows to stores. Most of their shows are over three hours long and the live cds are usually 3 CD sets.
I Just want anybody elses opinion on this awesome fucking band!

Posted - 02/12/2002 : 11:12:52 PM Duet?! This isn't Barbara Streinsand and Celine Deon here! It would be a DUEL!! Is that the right spelling Fluffy?

Posted - 02/12/2002 : 10:18:54 PM People do compare them to grateful dead, but the sound is pretty different. They jam long and hard, and they are an awesome band. Trey has some of the best guitar work around, some of the stuff he does on an electric guitar could rival that of Tim's work. If these two played together that would be the best fucking duet.

Posted - 02/06/2002 : 2:42:23 PM I haven't seen Phish in concert but I've seen the Grateful Dead numerous times. I've heard people compare them to the Dead, but I guess I would have to go to a phish show and decide for myself. The Dead were awesome to see. And talk about jamming, they had it perfected! That's just my opinion......

Posted - 02/06/2002 : 12:42:30 PM I think Phish is kinda like the Beatles to me, some of their stuff is cool, and some of it I can't stands no mores!

Posted - 02/05/2002 : 11:09:09 PM I can't say I necessarily like Phish, but I can certainly tolerate them. They're just one of those bands that I generally don't listen to on my own. Basically when my list of choices includes someone like Tim, SRV, Days of the New, DMB etc... I will never put in a Phish CD instead. Kinda like a lot of Rap/Hip Hop... I never listen to them at all unless they come up on shuffle in Winamp. -J

Posted - 02/05/2002 : 10:24:39 PM I suggest, all of you out there, listen to at least one Phish Album. They aren't alot like Grateful Dead, but instead are an awesome Jam Band, with their own unique sound.

Posted - 02/03/2002 : 1:33:54 PM I gotta admit, I never got into Phish or the Dead. But, whatever... Trey is a pretty good guitarist, his better work is with Oysterhead.

Posted - 02/03/2002 : 02:29:31 AM I think he meant that they're helping out the fans by selling a lot of live shows and so they're also "helping" their fans wallets.
