I just saw this movie last night, and wow. It's written by Nick Cave and takes place in the 1850s in the Australian Outback. It's brutal and graphic and poetic and beautiful. Guy Pearce is one of my favorite actors since LA Confidential and Ravenous, and he does not dissapoint, neither does David Winstone or Emily Watson. It has a very Deadwood-esqe feel to it, and I love Deadwood more than anything else, so it works really well.

Definitely worth checking out, for the cinematography alone.
