I remember Fluffy mentioning something about this in a thread a while ago...something about Tim doing another acoustic album...I know according to Arthem, he's saying he's not too happy with his new songs (some of them?), so what will this new album entail and will we see it before 2010...not that I'm not still listening to Soemtimes Love Sighs 3 times a day.
Any takers?
Che...c'mon Tim, you wrote this song for a reason. It dominates.
He played some 5-6 min flamenco jam with the drum machine at the Brooklyn show too. If this is never re-created, I will go apeshit. |

Fluffy said Tim wanted to get that acoustic album out this year. If thats still the case, this year will rock hard.
As for the new songs, well I love them. It took more than one listen to different versions of the songs for them to sink in, but theyre classic tim, IMHO. What I think will be on the new album, but I wouldnt know for sure:
Che Uncle Chair Vantage Point Sincerity Betrayal
For those that have yet to hear the songs...
Song / is like
Che / Wayfarer Uncle Chair / No Other Words Vantage Point / As Far As We Can See Sincerity / Feeling Doors Betrayal / Stream... ish. Not very, but reminicent of
Names Ive heard but am unsure whether I've heard the songs:
Delicate Essence
He played two other new acoustic songs that I dont know the names of at Southpaw. Delicate Essence may be one of them. One of them was this fucking sick stop time riff. The other one I remember is:

I heard that one @ Hamilton as well.
Songs that are thus far not on record but id love to see them make it:
Danger DOOM! Dark Spirit Drunk Roadrunner (I must be the only person that loves this song... it just hops )
(Hey, if youre reading this fluffy, send tim a subliminal that these songs would make great additions to any new album )
all D songs, apparently . And while I really hope that one day we'll see songs like Continue and Tree Of Life on record, I have a feeling those songs are gone for now.
There are as well ideas that hes thrown out live as "New G" and "New D" type things, as well as the long gone Bass/Conga samples that i loved so fucking much. |

He also played about three new songs, the names of which I didn't know. One of them was Humble-something... And it was a song for Fluffy that Tim played and apparently it was completely different than the other times it was played.
Maybe Tim will sit down on this break between tour legs and solidify a few of the songs, in time to unveil the polished, finished products for the July tour. |
